Episode 8: A Wolf Pack of Secrets

Listen, not every episode can be unhinged and a mess of screaming and arguing, and unfortunately, this week's episode will not win any Emmys. My original plan for this week was to rank the most dramatic housewives from this episode, but after watching it, I've decided to change it up and rank who gave me the least to work. The rankings will go from "somewhat entertaining" to "why am I watching this?".


1. Lisa - The Only One Doing Anything

Lisa is the only reason this episode had a pulse. She hosted an event with her sons, stirred the pot between Jen and Whitney, and got some insider gossip about Mary's church. I've seen Lisa do way more in episodes but this week I am just grateful she at least gave me something.


2. Jen - Overreacting for the Cameras (Again)

Jen's most interesting moment this week was yelling at Lisa for bringing up something that apparently was not supposed to be talked about on camera ( normally when a housewife doesn't want something to be talked about on camera, that means they are going to talk about it a lot on camera). Then Jen got mad at Lisa for inviting Whitney to her son's event, right after Lisa tried to get Jen to turn against Whitney. Jen is in the #2 spot this week because her blow-up at Lisa was very entertaining to watch.


3. Mary - A Lunch Date and Some Family Trauma Dumping

Mary had lunch with Whitney and Heather to talk about her mom? Don’t get me wrong, I think the family dynamic deep dives are interesting, but this whole sit-down just felt like filler. The most interesting this about Mary in this episode didn't even come from Mary, it was the cryptic warning about her church that some guy at Lisa's event told to Merideth.


4. Merideth - A Lunch and Church Gossip

Merideth met up with Heather and their daughters for lunch which was fine, I guess. Her interesting part came later when some guy at Lisa's event approached her with weird claims about Mary's church. This was towards the end so it was a good segue into the next episode, but Merideth didn't do anything with this information, yet. 


5. Heather - Just Eating Lunch

Heather basically spent this entire episode going to lunch. First with Mary and Whitney, then with Merideth and their daughters. That was it. That was her entire storyline in this episode. Just a casual week of carbs and witty conversations. 


6. Whitney - Also Just Eating Lunch

Whitney's storyline this week was almost identical to Heahter's. She did get invited to Lisa's event, but she didn't go. A wasted episode for my girl to be honest. 


Where Was Jennie?!?!?!

If you are asking yourself, "Why wasn't Jennie in the ranking?", that's because she straight up just wasn't in the episode. There was no explanation, just gone. So, she gets to have her own category this week - MIA.

Season 2: Episode 6

  Episode 6: Sex, Lies, and Sister Wives In honor of the Oscars happening this past Sunday, I am going to be giving out awards for this week's episode of Salt Lake. The Most Delusional Quote: Duy, Jennie's Husband 🏆 "Why if we get a sister wife?" The topic that got the most screen time from this week's episode was Jennie and her husband Duy's disagreement on having more kids. Jennie is completely against the idea and Duy's solution was to suggest to her that they get a surrogate or a sister wife (Yes, he suggested they become polygamists). Jennie honestly kept her composure pretty well when Duy brought this up considering the fact her husband of 10+ years just suggested bringing another woman into their marriage so she could give him more children. To sum up the rest of the conversation, Jennie told him "No. Absolutely not." and walked away. This is kind of a crazy storyline for someone new to the show this season and I'm hoping for a Duy ap...

Reunion Looks That Hurt My Eyes

For my final blog post, I will be diving into the fashion choices at the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 2 reunion. When this reunion aired in January 2022, it was widely criticized, with some calling it the worst-dressed Housewives reunion in history. Notably, Mary Cosby did not attend the reunion, leaving us with six looks to evaluate. ​ (I don’t really like any of the outfits, so instead of ranking them worst to best, I’m ranking them worst to least bad .)
