Season 2: Episode 10

 

In this episode, we get one of the greatest moments in Housewives history, Jen Shah's arrest. I will be breaking down the timeline of how everything happened on this memorable day. 

9:33 AM - Salt Lake City

The girls, Whitney, Heather, Jennie, Lisa, and Jen board the bus for their Vail trip. Everyone’s excited. Except for Jen. She gets a mysterious call about a “medical emergency” involving her husband. She quickly leaves the bus, leaving the others confused and wondering what’s going on.

9:45 AM – Where is Jen Shah

12 minutes later, Homeland Security, the FBI, and NYPD pull up to the scene asking about Jen’s whereabouts. Naturally, the ladies are freaking out, concerned, scared, and calling anyone and everyone to figure out where she went.

For comedic relief, of course, Jennie finds Jen’s goodie bag that was for the long car ride and raids all of her snacks saying, "Well she's not going to eat them!"

10:12 AM - Arrival in Vail

Merideth arrives at the Vail vacation home, looking happy and stress-free. 

10:57 AM – On the Bus to Vail

As the ladies head toward Vail, the tension rises. Lisa calls her multiple lawyers and her husband for some advice and to get information. 

Whitney shares her suspicions about what Jen actually does for a living and questions where all her money actually comes from. 

12:05 PM – Breaking News

Whitney finds an article stating that Jen is charged with a massive fraud and money laundering scheme involving telemarketing. Hundreds of victims, with the potential for Jen to get up to 30 years in prison.

Stu (Jen’s assistant) is also involved in running this scam, making this whole thing way more tangled than anyone expected. Yikes.

1:20 PM – Park City, UT

Homeland Security shows up at Jen’s house with a search warrant. CRAZY that it's on video.

2:36 PM – Vail, CO

While on the bus, Lisa calls Meredith at the Vail house to fill her in on everything. Meredith, somewhat unsurprisingly, mentions she had some suspicions about Jen’s business dealings. (We’re starting to see how deep this is going)

3:15 PM – Salt Lake City

Jen and Stu get released from custody on bail. 

4:56 PM – Vail

The rest of the ladies arrive at the house in Vail. The moment they all sit down together, the conversation turns back to Jen. And they all start piecing together their thoughts.

6:11 PM – Dinner Time

They all sit down to eat and share some stories to try and piece together who Jen Shah really is, some of the stories include:

• Jen’s assistant stole from Meredith’s store 6 months ago
• Jen is “red-flagged” at Louis Vuitton because she only pays in cash. (IDK what the Louis Vuitton thing means but by all their reactions, it seems very bad. Lisa said she would rather have the FBI raid her house than be red-flagged at Louis Vuitton.)

At the end of dinner they all decide to band together and get the full story on Jen because right now, they have no official proof of anything besides the news updates. 

This is not the last we will see of Jen this season, however, she does end up going to prison later, and if you are like me and are thinking, "Where is Jen now?" here is your answer:

• In January 2023, she was sentenced to six and a half years (78 months) in prison for her involvement in the telemarketing fraud scheme
• Jen Shah is serving her prison sentence at Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas
• Jen has had a sentence reduction, her release date now being November 3, 2026
