Season 2: Episode 6

Episode 6: Sex, Lies, and Sister Wives

In honor of the Oscars happening this past Sunday, I am going to be giving out awards for this week's episode of Salt Lake.

The Most Delusional Quote: Duy, Jennie's Husband ๐Ÿ†

"Why if we get a sister wife?"

The topic that got the most screen time from this week's episode was Jennie and her husband Duy's disagreement on having more kids. Jennie is completely against the idea and Duy's solution was to suggest to her that they get a surrogate or a sister wife (Yes, he suggested they become polygamists). Jennie honestly kept her composure pretty well when Duy brought this up considering the fact her husband of 10+ years just suggested bringing another woman into their marriage so she could give him more children. To sum up the rest of the conversation, Jennie told him "No. Absolutely not." and walked away. This is kind of a crazy storyline for someone new to the show this season and I'm hoping for a Duy apology in the next episode.

The Shadiest Moment: Lisa's "Innocent" chat with Angie ๐Ÿ†

Last episode, Whitney and Lisa decide to start fresh with their friendship. This week, they went on a double date with their husbands to a restaurant that just happened to be the restaurant that was supposed to cater Angie's party but mysteriously canceled last minute (Whintey believes that Lisa was behind the cancelation). While being served their food, Lisa's friend/restaurant owner comes up to their table and starts gossiping to them about how she can't believe Lisa was getting blamed for the catering being canceled. Whitney calls this out to everyone as a setup for Lisa to show that she did nothing wrong in the situation. Calling this a setup is a stretch of a claim but I would not be surprised one bit if it was actually orchestrated by Lisa.

The Most Out-of-Touch: Jen Shah  ๐Ÿ†

Jen decides she wants to do something symbolic to show the rest of the girls that she is sorry for her actions and wants to move forward. Her solution: spend $19K on matching snowflake necklaces for everyone. If she really wants to move forward with the girls, she should just delete her Twitter account because that's where all the trouble has come from.

The Most Awkward Conversation: Heather  ๐Ÿ†

As we've seen for probably the 20th time, Heather is getting her daughter ready to go to college in the fall. In this week's episode, she tries to be proactive and have the "Birds and the Bees" conversation with her daughter because when Heather was growing up, she was told nothing about the topic. This felt very awkward to watch and was probably even more awkward to film.

Last but not least,
The Most Irrelevant: A tie between Merideth and Mary ๐Ÿ†  ๐Ÿ†

Neither of them did anything memorable in this episode. They mostly just had B-role clips of them hanging out with their family.

Comments

  1. I am a huge Bravo fan and have grown up watching it since I was little, so reading this was so fun! I love your award categories and find them extremely fitting. I don't watch Salt Lake City often but when I do it always seems like Jen Shah is out of touch in every sense and is the stereotypical Bravo Housewife. But she does create some hilarious material!
