Season 2: Episode 4

 

Episode 4: Friendship Roulette

This episode picks up where last week's episode ended with Merideth and Jen still arguing on the ice fishing excursion. Jen threw a tantrum, ranted to her assistant, and then finally gave Merideth a very half-ass apology before they hugged it out. 

This episode introduces us to Angie Harrington, a new friend of the Housewives who is almost an official member of this season's cast. She was not in the previous episodes but has her own confessionals in this one. She is friends with Lisa, a newfound cousin of Whitney, and is hosting an upcoming '70s-themed casino charity night. Angie first meets with Lisa for lunch and invites her to the casino night. Then later, Whitney meets up with Angie and Angie tells her that her caterer for the casino night suddenly canceled after Angie had mentioned to Lisa that she is friends with Whitney. Whitney tells Angie that is it not a coincidence and is convinced Lisa is sabotaging the event out of jealousy. 

Cut to the Casino Party

Tensions are HIGH. Lisa is ignoring Whitney, Jen attempts to smooth things over with Mary, and then Angie confronts Lisa about the catering situation. Lisa denies involvement and is confused about how this conclusion came about, but Angie continues to grill her on the situation. There is a lot of back and forth about the ability to be friends with two people who are not friends. It gets to the point where Lisa brings over Merideth and Jen to show that she was able to be friends with both of them while they were not getting along (I do think Lisa is shady with Whitney but this was a fair point for her to bring up). 

Then Whitney calmly walks into the room and Lisa yells at her for inserting herself into the conversation. Whitney however would like answers of her own. She asks Lisa why she would tell Angie to not tell people they are related and also why she told Angie not to follow her on social media. Lisa gets PISSED at this. She starts yelling at Angie because she shared things with Whitney that Lisa didn't want to be shared on camera (I'm glad Angie told Whitney the things Lisa said because that shows that Lisa does truly have a problem with Whitney). 

The episode ends with Lisa crashing out at casino night. I believe that Lisa has these big reactions when she gets caught in lies or knows she is doing something wrong because other than times like these, she has a very nonchalant vibe to her. 

Final Thoughts

• I LOVE Angie she had a great first episode and raised a lot of money at the charity casino night.
• Lisa needs to chill out.
• Mary and Jen "made up" but I don’t believe that Jen is going to act differently, same with her and Merideth.
• Side note that I didn't mention when summarizing but Lisa was complaining about there not being food at the casino party but she literally was a part of the reason there was no food... girl what.
