Episode 3:  Fishing for the Truth

Introduction:
This episode had a lot of filler moments, so I'll share some of those before we get into this week's main event when the girls go ice fishing.
  • Heather talked about her growing business, Beauty Lab + Laser
  • Jennies husband still wants more kids
  • Mary had lunch with her son

The Lead-Up to Ice Fishing:
Jen decides to plan a day of ice fishing for all the women in an attempt to move forward with the group and smooth some things over with Merideth. She meets up with Lisa to share her plans and Lisa vents to her about having issues with Whitney (there's literally no reason for her to have any issues). Also before ice fishing, Merideth has Mary over to gain some insight into the situation with Brooks and how to move forward because Mary has past involvement being on Jen's hate train. Mary encourages Merideth to use the ice fishing trip as a chance to set boundaries with Jen.


Breaking the Ice:
When Merideth shows up at the ice fishing, Jen sits down and tries to begin a conversation about fixing their friendship, and Merideth, with photo evidence, confronts Jen about the tweets she has liked about Brooks. When told about this, Jen denies it, then she blames her social media team for liking the tweets and says she has nothing to do with it. With Jen taking no accountability, Merideth gets up and walks away and Lisa, Jen, and Jennie follow behind her trying to get her to stay and sort this out. After lots and lots and lots of back and forth, Jen brings up her own kids into the conversation and completely deflects from the topic of Merideth's son. Then the episode ends with Merideth leaving with no resolution or apology. We see here again that Jen cannot own up to her actions and tries to play the victim every chance she gets. 



Final thoughts 
  • These episodes have been fun to watch so far but I'm honestly getting tired of Jen at this point, like I need something else to happen or my weekly blogs are going to keep repeating the same story
  • I feel like there is going to be some Lisa vs Whitney drama in the next episode because I was getting those vibes when Lisa was talking to Jen about her

Season 2: Episode 6

  Episode 6: Sex, Lies, and Sister Wives In honor of the Oscars happening this past Sunday, I am going to be giving out awards for this week's episode of Salt Lake. The Most Delusional Quote: Duy, Jennie's Husband 🏆 "Why if we get a sister wife?" The topic that got the most screen time from this week's episode was Jennie and her husband Duy's disagreement on having more kids. Jennie is completely against the idea and Duy's solution was to suggest to her that they get a surrogate or a sister wife (Yes, he suggested they become polygamists). Jennie honestly kept her composure pretty well when Duy brought this up considering the fact her husband of 10+ years just suggested bringing another woman into their marriage so she could give him more children. To sum up the rest of the conversation, Jennie told him "No. Absolutely not." and walked away. This is kind of a crazy storyline for someone new to the show this season and I'm hoping for a Duy ap...

Reunion Looks That Hurt My Eyes

For my final blog post, I will be diving into the fashion choices at the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 2 reunion. When this reunion aired in January 2022, it was widely criticized, with some calling it the worst-dressed Housewives reunion in history. Notably, Mary Cosby did not attend the reunion, leaving us with six looks to evaluate. ​ (I don’t really like any of the outfits, so instead of ranking them worst to best, I’m ranking them worst to least bad .)
